Artist's Statement
LAZARUS
The story of Lazarus has long been one of my favorite narratives from the Bible. The concept of rebirth and coming back to life is one that especially interests me today.
I was struck by its relevance when after being written off early in the democratic primaries, Joe Biden’s South Carolina victory on Super Tuesday caused many to refer to him as a modern day Lazarus. Back to life Joe! And what a welcome re-emergence!
