Artist's Statement
My 'Draw' series is inspired by my desire to re-purpose previous work as templates, resulting in frottages. The rubbings capture the texture of my string drawings and extruded lines, with natural variations from the convexities and concavities of the templates. The translucence of mylar reflects pigment from the back, completing the frottage.
