HUMANITY SCALE OF LOVE, features the late painter-printmaker, Ronnie Goodman, who I met by chance during the pandemic lockdown. The streets in San Francisco, normally teeming with cars and people, were virtually empty, and my access unlimited. I chose to tell Ronnie’s story because we shared a deep love of running long distances, and a passion for art. I kept in touch and visited him a few times after I had shown him the video I made of him. On his 60th birthday I went to visit him as he was working on several wall murals near his encampment. He seemed upbeat and happy. Two weeks later we learned that he had passed away. Ronnie was an accomplished self-taught artist and activist who gave back to the arts and humanitarian organizations that had helped him. His work can currently be seen in New York at MoMa PS1 until April 2021.
