Artist's Statement
This painting was inspired by an afternoon into late evening cruise on the San Francisco Bay. We left the east shore of Alameda at 4:00 pm and returned at midnight. From sunshine to dusk, to glasslike water with reflections from the Bay Bridge and shoreline lights, to the fog rolling in and the moon shining through the gauzelike light the Golden Gateway beckoned and the sights and sounds followed me home and landed on my canvas...
This piece was painted with acrylics, oil pastels and graphite.
