Artist's Statement
Covid 19 set a precedence not seen nor experienced in the USA since 9/11. Fear dictated decisions from every level and sector of society. Confusion, driven by the immediacy of social networking, made deciphering fact from fiction nearly impossible. As a reaction, simplicity became a primary mode for the day to day need to comprehend and survive. Depicted here is a graphic representation of that simplicity:
Six feet = social distance.
Hexagon = elongated, is the outline of face masks.
Cube = shelter in place.
Six colors, three primary, three secondary = six continents, the global pandemic.
The number "6" embedded three times = the mark of the devil (if you believe that sort of thing).
