Artist's Statement
Firstly, I’m honored and thrilled to be part of this exhibit.
This painting was inspired by a desire to honor my painter heroes (who include Esphyr Slobodkina, Ad Reinhardt, and my late brother Jeff Turtletaub among others) with my own interpretation.
In addition, I savor working with color and find solace in the meditative qualities of laying those colors on canvas.
While my painting in this exhibit is not for sale, I do accept commissions and would be happy to paint something similar to the one shown should that be requested.
