Artist's Statement
The title of this painting is Attractor Cells. Attractor patterns are particular kinds of recognizable patterns that help us understand our systems or an event. In this case, it is the surrounding of cells that encompass the viewer of the painting. I was trying to show that something from the darkness is coming at you, surrounding and encompassing you, or that something is leaving you and going into the dark. Another title could be “Cellular Immersion” suggesting a surround pulling you into a void.
