Artist's Statement
Creating Confined in Chaos saved my sanity. The week California plunged into pandemic lockdown my husband was diagnosed with a serious illness. Trapped at home, unable to visit him in the hospital, and later as his full-time caregiver, I experienced sadness, frustration, anger, fear, and resentment. In this painting I attempted to portray those very dark days when there was little color in my life but great anxiety.
