Artist's Statement
Everything radiates 98 degrees back at home
Everything is hot to the touch
And burns by sitting.
Stockton is hot and livid,
Deeply angry,
A warm envelopment of memories.
I wish violent things upon events that feel unjust.
It’s all in my head and never willed
Which makes me think it’s ok.
And having to watch my parents watch me in pain
And having to watch my parents in pain
Because this family was faced with so much pain.
Makes me angry makes me resilient
Makes me lonely makes me hot
Makes me radiate 98 degrees until I crack.
