Artist's Statement
The word "quarantine" doesn't have to be a scary thing. I created this painting at the beginning of this pandemic in early 2020. I painted this piece to remind myself that the epidemic will come to an end one day, and to both motivate and empower myself to get through this situation in the best way I can. I believe I can help myself and the world, by staying healthy, staying peacefully at home, and staying calm about distressing terms like "quarantine", "Isolation", and "social distancing". Having tea, making art, or enjoying art
doesn't need to be something we do only during Covid-19. Regardless of the circumstances, we should do it with a natural rhythm every day, showing compassion to our animals and to the world. All of these things happen to remind us that everything still happens as it always should and will, and that this, too, shall pass.
