I started my artist’s journey as a photographer and moved later into painting, which is pretty obvious when you look at this work. Indeed, the inspiration for this painting was a random photograph that I saw somewhere on the internet. That photo was missing something, though: the guitar. I’ve also long admired how suspenseful Edward Hopper’s paintings can be, and I tried to do something like that here. It makes you ask questions. Who is that woman? How did she get there? What happened to her band? Who is she waiting for?
