Artist's Statement
What excites you? For me, It's color. My last series was an exploration of layering primary colors. For this intent, I experimented using a multitude of shapes. Each body of work leads to the next. Now I find myself drawn to simpler forms and less complicated compositions. I have found a new confidence. I am reaching beyond primary colors. The possibilities are endless. It's a tricky process with wonderful roadblocks. Finding the right path yields to magnificent new colors that pushes the work forward. The studio has turned into a treasure hunt with the final composition being the grand find of them all.
