Artist's Statement
With over 25 years experience, as an artist photographer who worked professionally for a large film and event company, Western Scenic Studios in Oakland. I have a Master of Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute in printmaking and took photography at the California College of Art. I have traveled on several world trips with photojournalist’s and worked with four master photographers shooting exotic culture. I love to travel and take pictures of ceremonies; the photos are hand painted and hand tinted. The Day of the Dead is one of my favorite holidays and this photograph shows Latin young girls dressed up and preparing to dance at a local festival in Marin.
