Artist's Statement
I started this drawing at the beginning of this year. It evolved as the pandemic took hold. My body of work runs the gamut from pure abstraction to landscapes and figurative pieces where the point of the viewer is often an element of the composition. This mainly abstract piece has one large figurative component. I see someone predominant near the center, a solitary figure looking wrong, both a part of and apart from the chaos.
