Artist's Statement
I paint stylized representational images from which exude an allegorical quality. In these disturbing times, I want my work to be confrontational and emotionally charged.
This painting is a fable, it is intended to enforce a useful truth, in which animals act like human beings, here we see the cropped image of a cat, keeping a crow under close surveillance.
Theme: The Other
Because he is different the Other is threat, he will steal your home, your job, your security.
The Other is the foe who is watching you.
The Other is deconstructing you.
The other is the danger who will contaminate you.
