Artist's Statement
“Let It Rain” was started on a raining day in my studio. The sounds and smell of rain is uplifting to me. Precipitation is like a new beginning, the washing away and cleansing makes one feel invigorated. The weather has always creep into my work rather consciously or subconsciously. From the beginning this painting was a delight for me to create and figure out. It seemed to come together making sense early on which is always exciting as an artist to experience. I truly adore painting abstract works of art. It’s a process that takes me on a spiritual journey that drives me to go into my studio with joy in my heart.
