Artist's Statement
I have a fascination with crumbling buildings, structures that are human made. There is a kind of beauty and depth of character that remains, speaking the whisper of what was once the intention of human and now the result of Mother Natures’ kind effect.

Manifested during the earlier time of the mystery of Covid, the accumulating interest in creating decrepit buildings decided to come out. Everything was there in my scratched paint-embedded lines. I just had to follow in amazement that the lines inscribed actually were yielding to windows, then planks. The experience was exciting. New terrritory.

Faces are much a part of my expression be it in Clay or on Claybord. I was feeling the soul of the structure and decided to draw a subtle eye. Once I found that, I saw the rest of the face. It was all there. I rendered it. Breathe gently.
