Artist's Statement
John was one of my favorite model for the portrait painting. Inspired by the European old master paintings, I asked him to wear a renaissance hook and sitting under the artificial lighting with 45 degree above the face in front of dark background, in order to achieve an old-time atmosphere. This is a full life portrait painting.
