Artist's Statement
The inspiration for “Waiting” is derived from the unique designs of the mid twentieth century.
The automobile, appliances, machinery and even furnishings, started to take on a futuristic slant, much like the development of rockets being designed to explore space. The big fins and new and interesting colors of that time are a source for challenging and enjoyable subjects.
I am fascinated that as art and design move forward, they also are cyclical; constantly revisiting and revising themselves as they progress through time.
