Artist's Statement
This painting is inspired by the recent fires and floods we are experiencing. We are encroaching nature, exacerbating with our presence and behavior all global warming problems. Mother Earth Crow is signaling with her black wing to the other crows, and to humans, the edge of the wilderness. Humans are not allowed beyond this point. Their houses can be seen on the distant hills.
I have painted different Mother Natures through the years, some are more compassionate and loving, but Mother Earth Crow is desperate. Humans are destroying everything so she must set firm limits.
