Artist's Statement
My painting 'Beauty will save the World' is in response to the declining numbers of butterflies in the world. Butterflies and bees and other pollinators are being poisoned by our polluted environment. This painting is a reflection of what is happening right now. I keep thinking if they go we go too! The skull is a reminder that we might actually disappear as a species sooner than we think, and also hopefully a wake up call!
