Artist's Statement
Originally based on a gymnast protesting abuse at the hands of her coach, this image speaks for all whose voices have been silenced. In the current climate, so many voices have not been silent, but they are still unheard. The bald lack of empathy for the underrepresented is horrifying and must be changed. No longer a silent protest, voices must stand united.
