Artist's Statement
Ravens in Granite
This piece was inspired by rock formations I have seen in and around Yosemite National Park. It is not a painting of any particular place, but was intended to represent some of the higher granite in the area. Ravens are one of my all-time favorite birds and I included them here because they are often seen flying through the canyons, calling to one another as they go.
