Artist's Statement
In my work, rather than reflecting the external world, I am attempting to reflect an inner world comprised of forms, lines and flowing tonality, shifting in space and ungrounded. My work investigates the place where the organic and the mechanical intersect. I’m interested in the underlying structure of matter, where the natural world breaks down into the intrinsic geometry that is the core of everything. I’m attracted to the dialogue between order and chaos and the ensuing ambiguity that develops as order descends into chaos.
