Artist's Statement
We go through so many wild experiences trying to figure out who we are as we grow. I recall trying to navigate defining myself though the world around me, whether it was friends, or clubs, or drugs. Sometimes you get caught up in other people’s realities and suddenly you get a glimpse of yourself, as though outside your own body. And you see how ridiculous you look and know that’s not the real you. These moments are lessons, sometimes difficult but also humorous, that help you find yourself and hopefully make you smarter.
