Every year, right after Christmas, dead bodies pile up on the sidewalks of San Francisco. They can be large or small, alone or in groups, naked or smothered in plastic. What's even more strange is the fact that these specimens were celebrated and cared for just days before their dismissal. These are not human bodies, but other, equally important beings known as Christmas trees. This film is a visual critique of Western Christian rituals, human folly, urban waste systems and bourgeoise family values in the era of climate change. It is a documentary work that tests the limits of objectivity and observation to propose a new way of seeing its protagonist, not as annual commodity but as a being worthy of deeper consideration and respect.
