Artist's Statement
There is a nostalgic beauty to the practical, mechanical objects that fashioned 20th Century life. Beyond the color and design of the painting, I often use these objects to reveal a personal thought. Here, an altered version of the Remington Rand manufacturer’s name exposes a rather Darwinian economist, whose precepts inform the title of the painting.
