Artist's Statement
The tape readout rides up, down and around this old Ticker Tape Machine, mimicking the roller-coaster-like ups and downs of the Stock Market. Actual company acronyms have been replaced with more entertaining ones from popular culture. Stock Ticker Machines were an early ancestor of the computer printer, transmitting text over a wire to a printing device.
