Artist's Statement
This piece, "restless," is dedicated to those who work on the frontlines during the pandemic. I wanted to celebrate our mortal heroes by illustrating the burdens on their shoulders and the hope they instill on this nation. What initially appears to be a pure white background is in reality a backdrop that is stained with microscopic virus particles. The front line worker puts up a confident demeanor, but is also weary and scarred. I invite you to share in their burdens and support those who choose to be restless for us.
